Hello, my name is William Blake. I am a junior and I attend Ben.C.Rain High School. I have many hobbies/extracurricular activities I enjoy. My favorite hobby has to be JROTC. JROTC has taught me many things that I can use in life and has offered me many opportunities. I am also apart of Ben C. Rain's football team. My coaches have taught me a lot throughout the season and I use what they have taught me and I apply it to my everyday life. My last hobby is being a member of the band. The band is excting, but it is not all about the music, it also teaches discipline and how important teamwork is. My favorite subject is History. I like playing video games, working out, and hanging out with friends. My expectations for this year is to: increase my GPA per semester, keep my grades at a A average, and to score a 30 on my ACT. I am excited to see what is the outcome of this school year!

Hello William, it sounds like you are a well rounded student. Being an AP student is more than just being in an advanced class, its about realizing you have the potential to achieve a higher level education while in high school. More so, it means your teachers and counselors have saw a lotbof potential in you to achieve higher goals. Firstly, Advanced Placement classes are not hard at all. Do not let the name scare you or have you feeling weird in any type of way. This class is going make you think about things you have never thought of. Just be willing to allow your mind to hear or see things you have never before. Secondly, you all will discuss a lot of issues that have went on in the past and contemporary times. Be willing to get out your comfort zone to learn things you have never learned before. Additionally, it is important to keep do your work and not get behind. Procrastination is one of my biggest problems. With you doing extracurriculars such as football and band, you will often lose sight of your main priorities. Lastly, be willing to take the extra step and learn. Sometimes you will get tired of doing certain assignments, and you will get tired of the class, but you have to think about your future. Achieving college credits in high school is great. It saves you time and money in your future. Coming from a student who made a 2 on the exam, its heartbreaking knowing you worked so hard to get a 3 but you just came up short. But, i have another chance to do it in AP Literature. You have a great teacher who wants to see you all succeed. So please give your very best. I wish you the best this year, and i hope all goes well for you this year in AP!
ReplyDeleteThank you Katore. Your comment has inspired me and taught me that anything is possible. I know you can make a 3 on the AP exam, because for you to make a 2 you did good, but now you know "good" isn't enough. Thank you for your feedback, and I hope you achieve all of your goals you set for this school year.
ReplyDeleteGood post and great comments!
