In Psalm 27, it discuses the declaration of belief in the greatness of God and one should trust in the protection He provides. One can always follow the guidance given by Him. He will always protect one from the wicked ways of the world. God will lead one down the path of light with guidance and protection, not leaving them alone, because God is always with all of his children. Verse 1 states, " The Lord is the strength of my life, of whom shall I be afraid". This verse is stating that one should not fear the Lord as if he were death, but to fear to disrespect him. Believing the word of God will protect you from all evil and through good faith and respect all will be given to one by God.
In this chapter there are multiple sign of symbolism and metaphorical meanings. Verse 5 states, "For in time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion...he shall set me upon a rock.". This verse shows readers that God will protect and guide one but he will not hide you from the world. Verse 1 "The Lord is my light and salvation". This verse is a metaphorical comparison between the Lord and light, showing readers that nothing is too dark for the Lord to guide one through. It also shows that in need of help God will always be there.
